The 2024 Hyundai Elantra N has received an array of updates that build on its already impressive performance and design. The most significant changes are in its ride and handling, aiming for improved response. The engine mount membrane has been reinforced for better agility, the rear suspension and ABS insulator have been switched to urethane for better damping and yaw response, and the ECS hardware has been upgraded for enhanced body control. Additionally, there are significant updates to the steering, including a changed steering gear box yoke for better connection and precision, reduced friction in the steering’s universal joint, and optimized power steering software.
Aesthetically, the 2024 model has adopted a new shark-nose look, with pinched headlights and a flattish hood, sporting a black Hyundai “H” logo on the front and most of the front bumper, leaving angular painted elements to break up the design. The rear sees some updates to the fascia, with the red side sill treatment extending into the rear bumper and changes to the rear diffuser’s profile. The high-performance N model retains its 276-hp 2.0-liter inline-four engine, offering both manual and dual-clutch automatic transmissions.
The exterior styling has also been amped up to match its performance credentials. It sports a more aggressive front grille, side sills, rear fascia with its diffuser, and a distinctive rear wing spoiler. The 19-inch forged alloy wheels and new color options like Ecotronic Gray and Ultimate Red add to its visual appeal, while the LED daytime running lamps and red brake calipers highlight its sporty character.
The 2024 Hyundai Elantra N is shaping up to be a dynamic blend of style and substance, with performance tweaks that maintain its position as a highly engaging and enjoyable sport compact sedan.
