    – Technology such as Traffic Jam Assist, Head-Up Display, and Digital Rearview Mirror are available.

The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander will be available in showrooms this summer, as the latest and best addition to Toyota’s popular SUV collection. The Grand Highlander is available in three grades, and three powertrains: the well-balanced 2.4L turbo gas engine, the economical 2.5L hybrid, and the ultimate performance-seeking, 362 horsepower Hybrid MAX.

Calty Design Studios created the design, and exclusively assembled at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing factory in Princeton Indiana.

When it comes to choosing between performance and economy, Toyota’s first-ever Grand Highlander provides both. The Grand Highlander is the most powerful Midsize SUV Toyota has ever built, with 362-horsepower, 400 pound feet of torque, and a 0 to 60 mph speed of 6.3 seconds. The Hybrid MAX powertrain is also capable of towing 5,000 pounds.

  • EPA-estimated MPGs:
    – Gas powertrain has an EPA-estimated 24 combined MPG for XLE Front Wheel Drive.
    – The Hybrid powertrain has an EPA-estimated 36 combined MPG for the XLE Front Wheel Drive.
    – The HYBRID MAX all wheel drive powertrain comes with an EPA-estimated 27 combined MPG.

To make driving more interesting, all three powertrains provide three Drive Modes: Sport, Eco, and Normal.

On the Gas All Wheel Drive and Hybrid MAX powertrains, Multi-Terrain Select with three modes: Mud & Sand, Rock & Dirt, Snow, is available, for even more on and off-road capabilities.

The Grand Highlander has a distinct and stunning exterior design, as well as a spacious interior available in all three rows. The trapezoidal, hammerhead front grille and optional 20-inch wheels are inspired by the Highlander silhouette, but in an entirely distinctive style.

The stylish design extends to the back, Thanks to a sharp rear bumper. The Hybrid MAX powertrain goes a step further by including standard exposed twin exhaust tips.

The exterior is both stylish and practical. The back doors are spacious, allowing easy access to the third row seats. The side surface flows effortlessly from the doors to the fenders and then to the front and rear tires, exhibiting a basic yet dynamic design. Unique bumpers and black-accented two-tone wheels are available for the Hybrid MAX grades for a premium appearance. Exterior visibility has been addressed, with a low hood line and big side glass windows, providing confidence when driving in city environments.

The interior design is also sophisticated and roomy. With a useful tray form that is harmoniously integrated between them, the soft-padded instrument panel floats above the optional wood-effect ornamentation that extends into the door trim. The shape of the instrument panel top continues into the door trim to highlight the cockpit’s breadth, while the center console incorporates independent driver and passenger side armrests that may be used whether the console lid is open or closed. Stitchwork of high quality conveys a contemporary and sophisticated elegance.

Leather-trimmed seats with 10-way power driver and 8-way passenger adjustments are offered (Limited and Platinum). Drivers will also enjoy Ultrasuede and leather-trimmed seats, as well as bronze-colored details throughout the interior, which are specific to the Hybrid MAX.

The redesigned TNGA-K platform delivers confident handling and unexpected interior room, with a wider track and longer wheelbase than today’s Highlander. Grand Highlander is ideal for everything from quick shopping errands to weekend road vacations. It includes a wide, adult-sized third row, clever storage places throughout the cabin, and plenty of baggage space behind the third row, with room for seven carryon suitcases. It also has 97.5 cubic feet of capacity when the second and third row seats are folded down.

The controls are centered on the 12.3-inch multimedia display. The central stack has a wireless charger, two USB ports, and three cup holders, one of which can carry a big water bottle or jumbo cup. On the passenger side, a pocket large enough to store a small bag aids in keeping the interior neat. A sliding console cover lid may be opened and closed, while the armrests are still in use, giving the driver and passenger even more flexibility. Another USB port and a tray capable of neatly keeping a cord during device charging are included on the right side of the dashboard, for the passenger’s comfort.

Passengers in the second row get easy access to an air conditioning control panel, and separate left and right USB connections. Cup holders are also supplied for the second row (XLE), while the Limited and Platinum grades have a detachable tray with cup holders and a smartphone storage slot. There are additional water bottle storage places in the door.

Additionally, two left and right individual USB outlets, smartphone and tablet storage space, and two cup & bottle holders are supplied for third row passengers, providing for a variety of usage scenarios. Furthermore, a support grip and a hand support area for use during ingress and egress improve accessibility.

The new Grand Highlander is equipped with Toyota’s latest and greatest technology, including Toyota’s Traffic Jam Assist*, comes standard on the Grand Highlander Platinum grade. Traffic Jam Assist is a radar and camera-based technology that alleviates the stress of stop-and-go traffic on restricted access routes by operating the steering, gas, and brake pedals at speeds ranging from 0 to 25 mph under specified situations.

The Grand Highlander comes standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen that displays Toyota’s newest Audio Multimedia system, which was conceived and manufactured by Toyota’s Texas-based software teams. Users may interact with the system by using intuitive touch and voice commands. Drivers and passengers may use Intelligent Assistant, Cloud Navigation, and Destination Assist with the offered one-year Drive Connect trial subscription.

Available Cloud Navigation may access the most recent map, traffic, and route data, as well as a Google-powered POI search. Drivers may also use Destination Assist, which gives live operators 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

As with other Toyota Audio Multimedia-equipped vehicles, Grand Highlander owners will be able to receive Over-the-Air (OTA) upgrades to enhance their multimedia experience.

Grand Highlander has an available JBL Premium Audio system with 11 speakers for audiophiles, producing a mobile concert from any music genre. With the use of Clari-Fi technology, which is standard on the Limited and Platinum grades, the system is also capable of breathing life into compressed digital music formats, boosting the audio experience.

Heated steering wheel and power folding mirrors (Limited and Platinum), heated and ventilated front and second row seats (Platinum).1,500-watt power outlets (Hybrid and Hybrid Max powertrains on Limited and Platinum), and a hands-free power liftgate (Limited and Platinum) are also available.
