Freightliner SuperTruck II
Daimler Truck North America LLC (DTNA) and its market-leading brand, Freightliner, unveiled the SuperTruck II today, highlighting innovative features poised to deliver the next level of freight efficiency.
As part of the SuperTruck programme, co-funded by the Department of Energy (DOE), DTNA engineers were able to investigate next-generation technologies for heavy-duty commercial trucks and clear the technical pathway for their development and potential integration into series production. The emphasis was on developing new technologies for the most promising core components and systems in order to improve the real-world operational efficiency of the truck, thereby assisting customers in becoming more successful and increasing fleet operational efficiency.
