Mercedes-Benz is introducing a new series of sporty and elegant dream cars called the 2024 CLE Coupé. This two-door car combines the conceptual and technical innovations of the C-Class and E-Class models. It features expressive design, exclusive comfort equipment, and confident, sporty driving performance. The 2024 CLE Coupé will be launched in Europe in November 2023, with the CLE Cabriolet following next year.
The design of the All-New CLE Coupé is characterized by a long wheelbase, a well-positioned and inclined A, pillar, a short front, a slightly longer rear body overhang, pronounced shoulders, and large wheels. These proportions are iconic to the Mercedes-Benz brand and create a powerful and dynamic look. The front section has a forward-leaning appearance with a low-slung bonnet, flat LRD headlights, and a newly designed three-dimensional radiator grille. The side view features a distinctive shaped edge, while the muscular rear showcases flowing surfaces and two-part LED lights.
The 2024 CLE Coupé offers ample space, being the largest coupe in the mid-size segment. It is 4,850 millimeters long, 1,860 millimeters wide, and 1,428 millimeters high. The longer wheelbase provides more space compared to the C-Class Coupé, with increased headroom, shoulder and elbow room, and knee room for rear passengers. The trunk volume is also larger, accommodating an additional 60 liters of cargo.
Inside, the 2024 CLE Coupé boasts eye-catching features such as a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument display and an 11.9-inch central display in portrait format. The dynamic ambient lighting offers 64 colors, and there are unique integral sport design front seats. The car incorporates the latest MBUX infotainment system, providing an interactive entertainment experience with third-party apps and personalized automation functions.
The 2024 CLE Coupé emphasizes efficiency through electrification and downsizing. All engines are mild hybrids with an integrated starter generator and a 48-volt electrical system. The lineup includes four-cylinder units and a powerful 3.0-liter straight-six petrol engine.
For a sporty and comfortable driving experience, the 2024 CLE Coupé has a lowered chassis and offers optional features like DYNAMIC BODY CONTROL, with continuously adjustable damping and rear-axle steering. Safety is enhanced with various driver assistance systems, including ATTENTION ASSIST, Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, and Speed Limit Assist. Active Distance Assist, Distronic, is standard in Western Europe.
