2023 JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW EXHIBITED MODELS: Toyota LAND CRUISER SE, EPU, Land Hopper, JUU, Space Mobility and NEO Steer
Toyota Land Cruiser SE
Toyota Land Cruiser SE combines the high-torque driving capability of BEVs with an attractive and stylish look. Toyota expands the Land Cruiser brand’s appeal with a three-row SUV designed to meet the world’s diverse needs. When traveling in metropolitan areas or other on-road scenarios, the silence of the BEV helps to create a comfortable interior atmosphere. A monocoque body also provides very responsive handling and confidence when navigating rough terrain.
Toyota EPU
Toyota EPU is the concept of a next-generation mid-size pickup truck with a monocoque body, that provides great durability to create a functional yet stylish BEV. The EPU’s monocoque structure, at slightly over 5 meters long, and with a double cab design, also allows for a varied deck space that caters to a greater range of user applications.
The cabin’s back aggressively connects with the deck to accommodate varied user preferences, supporting a wide range of mobility lifestyles, including outdoor activities. BEV silence is matched by low-center-of-gravity, packaging for better handling stability and ride comfort.
Toyota LAND HOPPER
Toyota Land Hopper is a three-wheeled electric personal mobility concept with two front wheels, that opens up new transportation options. A foldable form allows for convenient storage, even in small automobile trunks. The Land Hopper, when connected with a car, increases the delights of travel by allowing you to cruise around destinations.
It is possible to ride without a driver’s license if you are 16 or older. Expands the user’s range of travel and promotes freedom at many phases of life, including functioning as mobility for seniors who wish to surrender their licenses. The compact sized body and low seat height make it easy to reach the ground and get on and off. Excellent mobility, and a unique lean system, that allows the mechanically linked front wheels to go up and down provide an intuitive, exciting ride unlike any automobile or bicycle.
Toyota JUU
This electric wheelchair, which combines style and drivability, is a new concept mobility meant to provide the freedom to ride anywhere alone. The JUU broadens the user’s world by allowing them to freely travel areas that are inaccessible by motorized or ordinary wheelchairs. Supports the independence of people with physical disabilities who use electric or manual wheelchairs on a regular basis, improving their prospects for outings and work.
The two huge motorized wheels (primary wheels) on the JUU’s sides traverse the steps when climbing or descending a stairway, while the retractable tail swings down from behind the backrest to avoid tipping and balance the wheelchair. The JUU maintains an appropriate posture automatically and can handle steps up to 16 cm tall.
The drive system makes use of automobile motors. The use of automotive components provides excellent quality and dependability. Toyota is also investigating additional functions, that would allow the JUU to automatically move and load itself into the back of a car, once the user has boarded it, and then return to the driver’s seat when the user wishes to alight.

Toyota Space mobility is a Electric-powered vehicle with exceptional driving capability, capable of traversing stones up to 50 cm high and ascending steep 25 degree slopes. This prototype’s technology will be employed in space mobility vehicles, such as the LUNAR CRUISER.
Toyota NEO Steer
Toyota NEO Steer is A revolutionary cockpit concept based, on motorcycle handlebars, that incorporates the accelerator and brake pedal operations into the steering wheel.
A sweeping field of vision enabled by the steering wheel’s uneven form, as well as the spacious pedal-free floor area, provide for an unfettered driving stance and smooth entry and egress. The NEO Steer will assist to create a better love of automobiles and bring the fun and excitement of mobility to all. Hand-operated driving is also available for persons with lower limb disabilities.
