Next-level sportiness:
Despite its emphasis on increased driving enjoyment, the RS sport suspension pro features manually adjustable coil over suspension for a perfect balance of comfort and performance. As a result, even longer distances can be covered comfortably and without limitations using all available assistance systems. Customers who select this coil over suspension will receive their RS 4 Avant or RS 5 with a 10 mm lower ride height than standard RS models. Customers can also manually lower the ride height by 10 mm, resulting in an overall ride height that is 20 mm lower than the series standard. A higher spring rate, three-way adjustable dampers, and stiffer stabilizers improve the overall driving experience and aid in lap time reduction. As a result, customers benefit from more precise and agile handling. Both competition packages also have a higher top speed of 290 km/h.

The Audi RS 4 Avant with the competition plus package accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, a 0.2-second improvement over the series standard. The Audi RS 5 Coupé or RS 5 Sportback completes the sprint in 3.8 seconds, a 0.1-second improvement.

The dynamic steering ratio is locked at 1:13.1. Audi Sport GmbH has created unerring handling and even greater tracking with all of these enhancements. The improved quattro sport differential increases agility and driving fun, especially in “dynamic” driving mode.

A new data set with altered parameters in the control unit shifts the emphasis to the rear. Furthermore, only when combined with the competition packages does the updated software in the transmission control unit result in reduced shifting times and a noticeably increased spread between the various driving modes. The increased dynamics necessitate an increase in negative acceleration. When braking from 100 km/h, the brake path is up to two meters shorter when using the Pirelli P Zero Corsa, newly tuned ABS software, and the RS ceramic brake system.

Audi Sport GmbH introduces the new RS sports exhaust system plus with matte black tailpipes, designed specifically for competition packages. This produces a more intense sound pattern, not only from the exhaust system, but also from the reduced insulation between the engine compartment and the interior, a modification that also reduces the car’s weight by about eight kilograms. When the “dynamic” drive select is active, fine-tuning the engine control unit software allows for tighter load changes in S mode, increasing the emotionality.

A New Appearance:
Both the competition and competition plus packages feature appealing interior innovations: Piano Black accents the seat side panels. For the standard RS sort seats, an optional Dinamica / Pearl Nappa combination upgrade is available. Dinamica is made up of 45 percent recycled PET fibers; approximately 215 grams of PET fibers are processed per seat. The glossy black finish of the four rings on the hood and trunk lid, as well as the model lettering, emphasize the sporty character. The exterior of the RS 4 and RS 5 is now available in a matching crystal effect Sebring Black finish for the first time.

Customers who want to enhance the sporty appearance of their RS 4 Avant or RS 5 can opt for high-sheen competition wheels in Phantom Black. Audi will combine the 20″ fully milled wheels with the Pirelli P Zero Corsa high-performance tires designed for both the road and the racetrack for an additional charge upon request. The Audi RS 5 comes standard with matrix LED headlights that illuminate the road with laser light.

The competition Trim package includes the exclusive Carbon Matte Optics Package, which includes exterior mirrors, front blade and side flaps, as well as the sill extension and rear diffuser trim in sporty Carbon matte; all other components shine in black.

Audi offers the package in exclusive Glossy Carbon for an additional charge. The package is also available in Carbon matte as an exclusive option for the competition packages.

Pricing
The Audi RS Avant starts at 86,000 euros, while the Audi RS 5 Coupé and RS 5 Sportback start at 87,000 euros. As previously stated, the competition package costs 7,875 euros, while the competition plus package costs 11,875 euros.
