There are also significant advancements in the Toyota Safety Sense active safety and driver assistance systems, with new and improved features that recognize and assist the driver in avoiding a broader range of everyday driving hazards. Software updates are delivered over-the-air via the car’s data communications module, making safety and multimedia functions future-proof.
These significant changes are accompanied by new exterior and interior styling details, such as new wheel designs, headlights, colour options, and upholstery.
Toyota Manufacturing UK (TMUK) continues to manufacture European Corolla Hatchback and Touring Sports models at its Burnaston plant. Toyota recently announced a £465,000 investment in TMUK’s engine factory in Deeside, North Wales, for the production of the 1.8-litre hybrid engine for the fifth generation hybrid system featured in the new Corolla.
