2024 Mercedes AMG GT Coupe – interior, exterior and drive / ALL-NEW Mercedes-AMG GT 63 Coupé 2024
The new Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé 2024 will be available in two performance versions powered by the AMG 4.0litre V8 biturbo engine. The engines are manufactured entirely by hand at the company’s Affalterbach headquarters, following the “One Man, One Engine” ethos. The engine in the top model GT 63 4MATIC+ produces 430 kW (585 horsepower) and 800 Nm of torque across a wide engine speed range of 2,500 to 4,500 rpm.
The acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is 3.2 seconds, and the peak speed is 315 km/h. The V8 engine in the GT 55 4MATIC+ produces 350 kW (476 horsepower) and a maximum torque of 700 Nm. The sprint from zero to 100 kilometers per hour takes 3.9 seconds, and the peak speed is 295 kilometers per hour.
The engine was modified for use in the AMG GT Coupé with a revised oil pan, relocated intercooler, and active crankcase ventilation. The input and output ports have been improved for greater gas exchange efficiency, and the exhaust gas routing for the catalytic converter box and Otto particle filter has been expanded.
The enhanced output of the AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupé was accomplished largely through higher boost pressure and better air passage, as well as changed engine software. Overall, the eight-cylinder impresses with its exceptional power development with forceful boost at all engine speeds, paired with the best economy for low consumption and emission levels.
